Generative AI for Multilingual Educational Applications

In this presentation, I will introduce new advances in generative AI and describe a host of recent research projects that can support educational applications. The projects serve multilingual communities such as in the Arab world, African and Indigenous people of the Americas. The projects cover technologies such as language identification, grammatical error correction, machine translation, and automatic speech recognition.
