Halifax Public Libraries represents a network of 14 libraries in the greater Halifax region. We are a community organization trusted by families for advice on best practices for supporting literacy in the home. In recent years, Halifax Public Libraries have been working toward a social mandate to address community needs in an effort to meet community members where they are at. Our library customers are increasingly diverse in their language and cultural backgrounds, as well as in their needs and abilities. In addition, reading itself is changing, as it occurs in far more modalities than ever before. Halifax Public Libraries looks forward to working as a part of the grant team to utilize the findings generated to better serve our communities.
