Bonny’s research addresses identity and open technology for literacy and language learning. She is project lead and co-founder of Storybooks Canada, a free digital platform for children and youth, which has expanded to more than 40 sites on the Global Storybooks portal. On these sites, which include Indigenous Storybooks, users can read, download, toggle, and listen to a wide variety of illustrated stories repurposed and translated from the African Storybook and other open sites. Bonny is looking forward to working with scholars from across the grant team.
