Cindy’s focus of research during her graduate studies was social cognition with an emphasis on non-verbal interpersonal interactions. Since then, as lab manager for Aaron Newman’s Neurocognitive Imaging Lab (NCIL), she’s been excited by the diversity of language processing research undertaken at NCIL, especially studying neural activity that supports reading development and literacy. As a past educator and life-long learner herself, Cindy enthusiastically supports the training of student researchers in neurocognitive science.
