Danièle Moore’s research areas include the study of language contacts and language transmission in multilingual contexts. She is interested in topics such as language education policies, the inclusion of Indigenous epistemologies in education, and teacher training in minority contexts. She has worked with researchers and educators involved in language maintenance, bilingual development, and plurilingual approaches to education in Europe, Madagascar, Brazil, New Caledonia, and Japan. Her recent work in French education has involved collaborative research with teachers, families, community centers, and museal institutions as well as documentation of French immersion schools and Francophone schools in the Vancouver area. She is also involved in collaborative work with schools in Uruguay and in Japan and is a collaborator for major research projects on plurilingual education and teacher training in Denmark and for the European Centre for Modern Languages, Graz, Austria.
