Maureen Hoskyn
Executive Director, Centre for Research on Early Child Health and Education
Simon Fraser University
Maureen Hoskyn’s program of research has focused on the developmental relations between executive functions and early literacy among young plurilingual children. She is looking forward to working with other researchers and partners on the SSHRC PG to learn more about how technology might be optimally designed to create multiple pathways to literacy among young, school-aged children who are learning to read words in more than one writing system. Maureen is also the director of the Centre for Research on Early Child Health and Education (CRECHE) at Simon Fraser University, a consortium of researchers interested in studying children’s early social, emotional, and learning development.
