Montse is a fourth-year student from México, completing a BSc in Psychology and a minor in Education. She joined the Language and Literacy Lab as a Mitacs GlobalLink Research Intern in May 2022, under the supervision of Dr. Hélène Deacon. Montse is currently working on a longitudinal study, Leaps and Bounds, as a research data collector. The objective of the study is to acquire further understanding of how children’s oral language skills support their reading development through elementary school. Montse hopes that the current research helps educators, parents and students to understand more about reading and language.
