Sophie is entering her third year of a BSc in Neuroscience. She joined the Language and Literacy Lab as a volunteer in the summer of 2021. Sophie received the Laing Undergraduate Summer Research Award in 2022 and is currently working as a Research Assistant under the supervision of Dr. Hélène Deacon. She is involved in the Leaps and Bounds longitudinal study, the Shared Reading and Punctuation and Syntax Project, and the Digital Reading Project. Sophie is looking forward to learning more about the research and is hopeful that it will have positive implications on children’s language and literacy skills.
