Virtro is a Vancouver-based company at the forefront of artificial intelligence (AI) and virtual reality (VR) innovation. We utilize leading-edge technologies to create platforms that are ground-breaking in their ability to transform lives and add value to our global community. Our learning applications foster unparalleled levels of engagement through open dialogue with Virtual Humans (AI characters) powered by our proprietary conversation engine. We are pioneering a language fluency platform and toolkit – ArgoLingo – whereby a learner can practise speaking English with AI characters in the context of a VR game. We are looking forward to working as a part of the grant team to identify evidence-based practices that the Virtro development team may then implement within our platforms, so that we may contribute to facilitating full literacy in Canada, as our knowledge economy becomes increasingly digital and our population increasingly multicultural.
