Dianne is a SSHRC Postdoctoral Fellow at the Ontario Institute for Studies in Education (OISE). Her research interests focus on interventions for children with reading impairment. As a practicing Speech-Language Pathologist her research questions are driven by her clinical experience working with children of all ages with reading impairment. Most recently, she is exploring prevailing clinical and academic practices surrounding bilingualism and language-based impairments, like reading impairment. Her current SSHRC-funded postdoctoral study examines whether reading in the home language (English) supports reading in the language of study (French) for bilingual children diagnosed with reading impairment who attend French school.
