Savannah is a MSc student in experimental psychology at Dalhousie University. Her research, under the supervision of Dr. Hélène Deacon, focuses on young children’s understanding of orthography and print conventions, and the role this knowledge plays in reading development across the elementary school years. She has always been passionate about reading and hopes to help foster strong literacy skills for the next generation by conducting research that can inform educational policies and practices.
