Savannah is a MSc student in experimental psychology at Dalhousie University. Her master’s thesis under the supervision of Dr. Hélène Deacon, investigates whether 4- 6-year-old children can learn the spellings and meanings of novel words during shared book reading. She has always been passionate about reading and hopes to help foster strong literacy skills for the next generation by conducting research that can inform educational policies and practices.
