Zein’s research focuses on language and literacy development in French Immersion (FI) students. She is currently completing her MA under the supervision of Dr. Becky Chen in the Multilingualism and Literacy Lab at OISE/UofT. Her master’s thesis is assessing the impact of online learning during the COVID-19 pandemic on language and reading development in both English and French among elementary FI students. Zein is especially interested in using her research to help create interventions for at-risk readers in multilingual learning environments.
