This theme is led by Hélène Deacon, Dalhousie, and Xi Becky Chen, University of Toronto (OISE).

In this theme will include learners from diverse linguistic and cultural backgrounds. The study of semantic understanding at multiple levels, including within the context of digitally-presented reading materials, will be a central focus.
